A Couple of Tra La Las

There are so many things that people here (and in England) pronounce differently and here are some of them:

Adidas..  USA: Adeeeedas    Aus: Add-id-as , accent on the add

Puma…  USA: Pooma          Aus: Pewma

Emu…    USA: Emoo           Aus: Emew

Basil…    USA: Bayzil          Aus: Bazel

Garage    USA: Gah-rahdge   Aus: gayridge

etc.

When I first heard someone say adidas or puma.. I almost died. I had no idea that it was pronounced differently depending on where you are. I just assumed it was the same everywhere!
